* About Trifari: Established by Naples immigrant Gustavo Trifari in 1910, Trifari began by creating jewelry for actors in Hollywood. But it was the addition of renowned French designer Alfred Phillipe (formerly of Van Cleef and Arpels) in 1930 that really solidified the brand as a household name. During the Great Depression, when women could no longer afford fine jewelry, the “costume jewelry” brand really took off, giving us pieces that are still collectible to this day.
